About Chaltin Pagan

Chaltin Pagan makes paintings of Barbie dolls. She employs the doll in an examination of the feminine. She paints using the traditional medium of egg tempera. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Art from the City College of New York (part of the City University of New York). At City College, she received the Theresa Ralston McCabe Connor Award for promise in the field of Studio Art and the Holly T. Popper Award to apply towards study in an M.F.A. program. She completed her Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She lives and works in New York City.
